Roller
Inspecting the Rear Roller
Wear of bearings due to frequent usage and
damage to bearings etc. caused by moisture
entry may prevent smooth rotation of the rear
roller.
Inspect and replace parts such as the oil
seals, taper bearings, o-rings, and seal
housing.
Make sure that there is no abrasion or
adhesion of the roller.
Make sure that there is no wear of the roller
shaft.
Make sure that there is no wear or damage
of the oil seal.
Make sure that there is no wear or rust of
the bearing.
Make sure that there is no play in the fit of
the roller and the bearing.
Remove the rear roller ass'y. (See
"Removing the Rear Roller Ass'y" (Page
7-22) .)
Remove the left and right nipples.
Loosen the bolt with a hexagonal hole, and
remove the nut.

Knock one end of the roller shaft with a
plastic hammer to push out the roller shaft.
