Starting the Generator - BG2800, BG5000, BG7000E
1.
Remove all loads from any power sockets and switch off the main breaker.
2.
Set the fuel valve to the “On” position.
3.
Push the
choke lever to the “Close” (left) position.
4.
Turn the engine or key switch to the “On” position.
5.
The BG7000E
is an electric start model. Continue to turn the key to “Start” and release
when the generator starts. If the battery is too weak to start, the recoil start may be used.
Pull out the recoil starter handle until resistance is felt, then pull it out swiftly from its
original position.
6.
Once the generator starts, gradually slide the choke lever to the right for
“OPEN” position
Stopping the Generator - BG2800, BG5000, BG7000E
1.
Turn off the breaker
2.
Turn off the engine switch
3.
Close the fuel valve
4.
In case of emergency, turn the engine switch to “Off” to stop the generator.
Never stop the generator at high speeds under a heavy load.
This can result in significant damage to the generator.
