Gas Hob
Igniting Gas Burner
1. Make sure that all rotary controllers are in OFF position (
)
.
2. Open the cut-off valve installed upstream of the appliance.
3. Select the right hob.
4. To ignite the gas burner for this hob, press
the right gas controller and rotate it pressed
in counter-clockwise to a position marked
with
(MIN).
5. Ignite the flame with a lighter or a match.
6. After igniting, keep the gas controller
pressed for 10 seconds in order to heat up
the thermo-element and keep the safety
valve open.

7. When the flame burns continuously and evenly, you may rotate the gas
controller to
(MAX) position.
8. Adjust the intensity of the flame as needed, rotating the gas controller to a
position between two settings of
(MIN) and
(MAX). Never rotate between
positions of
(MAX) and OFF. (
)
9. If the flame is out, repeat the ignition process.
In case the flame is out accidentally (e.g., in the outcome of draught, pouring over
fluid, etc.), the safety valve will be triggered thus closing gas supply.
10. If the hob will not be used any more, rotate the gas controller to OFF (
)
position, to put out the gas burner.
11. At the end of each working day, close the gas cut-off valve upstream of the
appliance.
Indications and Tips
• Avoid rising flame around a pot (pan).
• As soon as the contents in the pot start to boil, reduce the flame to a lower level,
so that the flame does not go out due to boiling over contents.
