Toasting
WARNING!
Risk of burns!
During the toasting process, the surface of the appliance, bread roll
tops, and bread (bread rolls) heat up considerably.
Do not touch any surfaces and elements of the appliance, nor insert
hands into the toasting slits.
Remove bread slices from toasting slits or bread rolls from bread roll top
carefully. Use suitable tongs for toasts.
When removing bread roll tops, use protective gloves or a kitchen cloth.
1. Always introduce only one bread slice into a given toaster slit.
NOTE!
The 4-slit toaster features separate operating elements for each pair of
toasting slits. The following operating steps apply to both pairs of
toaster slits.
2. Use the browning level controller to set the browning level in the range of 1

NOTE!
To obtain darker browning, rotate the browning level indicator
clockwise; to obtain lighter browning, rotate the browning level
indicator counter-clockwise.
3. In the case of 4-slit toaster models, you can use pairs of slits for various bread
types. Set both browning level controllers accordingly.
4. After each toasting process, wait approx. 20 seconds before you introduce
subsequent bread slices, to let the appliance cool.
5. Press the operating lever down to lock it.
The toasting process begins. The 'Cancel' indicator light is lit during the process of
toasting.
When the toasting process is finished, the operating lever will pop out automatically.
The 'Cancel' indicator light goes off.
The bread slices are lifted from the toasting slits.
6. Carefully remove the ready bread slices.
