7. Installation and connection
Observe the chapter “Safety Information”!
• Use a suitable mains supply line (e.g. NYM-J) with a line cross-section of
1.5 mm².
• The room thermostat must be protected with a 10/16 A fuse in the on-site
sub-distribution. A residual-current circuit-breaker (FI protection switch) must
be used upstream of this.
• Connection and installation are only permitted in the powered-down condi-
tion.
Turn off the power on all poles of the mains supply by removing the respec-
tive electric circuit fuse or switching off the circuit breaker. Also switch off
the respective fault-current protective switch. Protect it from unauthorised re-
activation, e.g. with a danger sign.
• Check that the mains connection is free of current, e.g. with an appropriate
tester.
• The room thermostat consists of
two parts that are held together by
clips. The electronic parts with tem-
perature sensor, display and con-
trol panel are in the front part. The
batteries (2x type AA/Mignon, not
included, can be ordered separate-
ly) are placed in this part. Please
pay attention to the correct polarity
(observe plus/+ and minus/-) when
inserting the battery.
