Installation and connection
Observe the safety instructions!
The thermostat is equipped with three connections for cable lugs; for this, also observe the
overprint on the bottom of the thermostat.

Function
The long capillary tube (and the sensor tip), which is firmly connected to the thermostat,
contains a liquid that expands when it is heated. There is a pressure sensor at the end of the
capillary tube in the thermostat, which is mechanically preloaded by the adjustment spindle.
A heating device, which is activated via the switch contact, increases the temperature; the liquid
in the installed sensor warms up and expands.
The control element on the pressure sensor breaks the circuit when it reaches a given
temperature.
The temperature falls again and the liquid in the capillary tube contracts.
At a given temperature, the circuit closes again and the process is repeated.
Thermostat setting
The temperature at which the thermostat breaks the circuit can be adjusted using the
adjustment spindle.
Because this is not an electronic control, it is not possible to set thermostat precisely to a
specific temperature.
The changeover contact enables control both in the cooling and heating directions, depending on
which thermostat and which thermostat contacts are used for the connection (C + 2 or C + 1).
Care and cleaning
• Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these
may damage the housing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to
the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to environmental protection.
