12. Maintenance and Care
Check the technical safety of the car radio regularly, e.g. for damage to the connection cables
or to the casing.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be turned off
and precautions are to be taken to ensure that it is not used unintentionally. Disconnect the car
power system!
a) Fuse Replacement
• If you have to replace the fuse, ensure that you only use fuses of the specified type and rated
current (see "Technical Data") as a replacement.
Never repair fuses or bridge the fuse holder.
•
When the power supply has been disconnected (disconnect ISO plug!) carefully remove the
fuse from the fuse holder next to the ISO plug.
•
Replace it with a fuse of the same type.
•
After this, you can reconnect the car radio to the board mains and take it into operation.
•
Should the fuse trigger again, have the car radio repaired in a specialised workshop.
b) Cleaning
•
Clean the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth or brush only.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical
solutions, since these may damage the casing or even impair function.
