3. Safety instructions

Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material
for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture,
flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the
product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the
product.
• The compressor may only be operated on direct-current voltage of 12 V (such as via the cigarette lighter
socket of a passenger car). Other voltages will cause the compressor to be destroyed!
• The compressor is not suited for the tyres of trucks, agricultural vehicles, or similar, since those require
higher inflation pressures and air quantities.
• The maximum operating time is 10 minutes. After use, the compressor must cool down for approx.
5 minutes before it can be used again.
• Do not operate the product when it is unattended.
• Ensure the maximum permissible pressure is not exceeded in the inflated tyres or the dinghy, ball etc.
Danger of explosion!
• Due to the high current drain the vehicle battery can be discharged by the compressor, if the compressor is
operated repeatedly and over longer periods of time.
• Check the product prior to initial use for damages; if you determine the product is damaged, do not operate it.
Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified
shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical
support service or other technical personnel.
4. Operation
1. Place the compressor on a stable, flat surface next to the tyre or leisure article that is to be inflated.
2. Release the clamping lever at the end of the air hose.
3. Remove the valve cap and press the connector firmly onto the tyre valve. If required, use a fitting adaptor
when inflating an air mattress, a dinghy, or similar.
4. Close the clamping lever.
5. Plug the connecting plug into the 12 V cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle to start the compressor. The
compressor’s current consumption is 12 A max.
6. When the required pressure has been reached, remove the connecting plug from the cigarette lighter
socket. Never pull on the cable to disconnect the connecting plug from the cigarette lighter socket.
7. Release the clamping lever and remove the connector. Close the tyre valve (e.g. by screwing the valve
cap on again).
For safety reasons always leave the clamping lever released (open), when the compressor is
not in use.
5. Maintenance and cleaning
• Disconnect the connecting plug from the cigarette lighter socket, before cleaning the product.
• The outside of the product should be cleaned with a soft dry cloth or brush only. Never use aggressive or
chemical cleaning agents, since this might damage the surface of the housing or impair operation.
• The product contains no parts that require maintenance by you; never disassemble the product.
• Only an appropriately qualified person, familiar with the hazards involved and with the applicable
regulations, is permitted to perform repair works/to open the product.
