4.5 VHP Cycle (Option)
If VHP Ready System option is present, cycle 11 will be VHP cycle.
VHP cycle is used for biodecontamination purposes.
The following cycle description is based on pre-programmed VHP
cycle. See
Table 5-1
, Cycle Description Chart, for default treatment
values of VHP cycle.
1.
Unload washer from any items and rack.
2.
In Mode Selection screen, press
DOORS CONTROL
touch pad;
then, press
DOOR CLOSE
touch pad to close doors.
3.
Press
X
touch pad until Mode Selection screen appears.
4.
In Mode Selection screen, press
AUTOMATIC
touchpad. Con-
trol advances to Cycle Selection screen.
5.
In Cycle Selection screen, press
RIGHT
arrow until VHP icon
appears. Press
VHP
touchpad. Display advances to VHP
screen.
6.
In VHP screen, press
START CYCLE
touchpad.
•
If Drying option is present
, display shows:
IMPORTANT:
Remove heat sensitive items from wash chamber
before performing a Drying treatment.
a.
Press
OPEN LOAD DOOR
to unload wash chamber if
necessary. Press
OK
touchpad.
b. After safety delay a Drying treatment starts. Wash chamber
is dried with hot non-recirculated air.
c.
At the end of treatment, press
OPEN LOAD DOOR
and load
wash chamber if necessary.
d. Once the washer is properly loaded, press
CLOSE LOAD
DOOR
to close door.
e.
Press
OK
touch pad.
•
If no Drying option
, VHP Cycle can be performed after a
Vapor exhaust treatment.
IMPORTANT:
Ensure wash chamber is completely dry
before performing VHP cycle.

• Remove any items, acces-
sories or racks from wash
chamber before process-
ing a drying treatment prior
to a VHP cycle. Items will
be damaged by high tem-
perature drying.
• Items processed in the
washer must tolerate tem-
peratures and chemicals
specified in this manual.
Always follow item manu-
facturer's recommenda-
tions for cleaning
instructions.
