• The connection line must be voltage-free during installation. Turn off the power supply and use a
voltage tester to make sure the line is voltage-free.
• Safe operation is no longer possible if the device is visibly damaged.
• Install the LED floodlight at a height of at least 2.3 m (7.5 ft) (out of the reach of persons).
• There should be at least 1 m (3.3 ft) clearance between the floodlight and objects
you wish to illuminate.
• Mount the LED floodlight to a wall in such a way that the motion sensor is beneath
the floodlight.
• The LED floodlight's housing may become very hot during use. Make sure the floodlight is
sufficiently ventilated to promote the dissipation of generated heat.

Take care not to damage any water, electricity or
telecommunications lines while drilling holes. Use a line locator.
Where to place LED floodlights
• Install the product to stable surfaces only, e.g. brickwork.
• Choose a location shielded from wind and rain (e.g. under eaves).
Where not to place LED floodlights
• Shield the device from:
Temperatures above 40 °C (104 °F)
Temperatures below -10 °C (14 °F)
Direct sunlight
Dust

Although the article is splashproof
(IP44), do not use it in the vicinity of
water and other liquids or at places where water or other liquids may pool. Do not submerge the
article in water. Keep a minimum distance of 5 m (16 ft) from swimming pools or ponds. Shield the
mains cable from moisture.
• Keep a minimum distance of 10 cm (3.9 in) to other objects to ensure sufficient ventilation. Install
the device in a well-ventilated area. Make sure that the device is not covered by bushes, leaves or
the like.
• Do not place the device in areas subject to significant fluctuations in temperature, e.g. near fans, air
conditioners and heaters.
• Do not mount the LED floodlight to a mast.
• Do not mount the LED floodlight to a ceiling.
• Do not point the motion sensor at light-reflecting surfaces and areas such as swimming pools or
ponds.
• Heat radiation travels in a straight line but is stopped by glass or other firm objects. For this reason,
always check for possible obstacles of this sort before installation.
• Animals (e.g. dogs, cats, birds) and vehicles moving in the detection range may trigger the motion
detector.
