The
icebox
The icebox is suitable for storing and freezing food.
o
The icebox temperature must have already reached -18 degrees
centigrade (or lower) before you attempt to store food that is
already frozen or freezing fresh food.
o
The icebox is only able to freeze a certain quantity of food at one
time. You should not attempt to freeze more than 2 kilograms of
fresh food within a 24 hour period.
o
Warm food should be allowed to cool down before you attempt
to freeze it. If you place warm food in the icebox, then the
increased humidity will cause quicker ice formation and increase
the amount of power that the appliance uses.
o
The guidance of the food manufacturer should be followed, in
regard to the maximum storage time.
o
Thawed foods must not be frozen for a second time.
Icebox door open indicator
There is a door indicator on the lock of the icebox door, which will
advise you whether the door of the icebox is shut properly or not.
o
If the red indicator is visible, then the icebox door is still open
and should be closed properly.
o
If the red indicator is not visible, then the icebox door is shut
properly.
IMPORTANT: Keeping the door of the icebox shut properly will
prevent foods from defrosting. It will also stop ice building more
quickly in the icebox.
