10.2.3 Aeraulics
Cleaning the evaporator
Danger
Risk of injury on the sharp-edged fins.
Caution
Do not distort or damage the fins.
1. Clean the evaporator at regular intervals using a soft-haired brush.
2. If the fins are bent, straighten them carefully using an adapted comb.
Cleaning the fan
1. Check the cleanliness of the fan once a year. Clogging by dust and
other particles impairs the heat pump's performance.
10.2.4 Checking the magnesium anode
Caution
The anode must be checked at least every 2 years.
Important
After the first check and in light of the varying degree of wear of
the anode, it is necessary to determine the frequency of checks.
1. Unscrew the anode.
2. Measure the diameter of the anode.
Important
Replace the anode if its diameter is less than 15 mm.
3. Refit the anode.
10.2.5 Checking the safety valve or unit
Operate the safety valve or unit at least once a month to ensure it works
properly and take precautions against possible pressure surges which
would damage the domestic hot water tank.
Caution
Failure to follow this maintenance requirement may lead to the
deterioration of the domestic hot water tank and void its warranty.
10.2.6 Descaling the domestic hot water tank
Warning
Use a new gasket ring for the inspection hatch.
In hard water regions, you are recommended to ask the installer to
descale the domestic hot water tank once a year in order to maintain its
performance levels.
