BayStream Multiservice Software Version 7.3
99
Name:
wfFrSwRnniVcTrfPriority
Object ID:
1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.9.6.24.22
Type:
Integer
Access:
Read/Write
Default:
999
Description:
Meaningful only if wfCctOptsCngcLinkType is 1 (Access Line) and
wfCctOptsCngcTrfPriorityEnable is 1 (Enabled). This object contains an integer value
(1, 2, 3, or 999) that specifies the priority level of user-generated, switched traffic received
across this PVC -- the greater the value the lower the priority. The congestion control
software assigns other, non-user-generated traffic (LMI status exchanges, OSPF routing
packets, SMDS heartbeat polls, cross-network polls, and BofL exchanges) a Priority 0
level.
1 (High) -- all user-generated traffic entering the network via this PVC be tagged priority 1
2 (Medium) -- all user-generated traffic entering the network via this PVC be tagged
priority 2
3 (Low) -- all user-generated traffic entering the network via this PVC be tagged priority 3
999 -- all user-generated traffic entering the network via this PVC be tagged with the
port-specific priority value (assigned by the wfCctOptsCngcPortTrfPriority object).
Traffic priority and discardability index information is contained in a
32-bit Traffic Information field. Tagged traffic entering the network across an interface on
which congestion control is enabled is placed in priority-specific software queues
(specified by bits 0 - 7 of the Traffic Information field), and, in the event of congestion,
discarded as specified by the discardability index (bits 8 - 15 of the Traffic Information
field).
