Dynamic IP Address Configuration
Configuring PathWay Access for a dynamic IP address requires BOOTP. FastLink II should also be configured
for a dynamic IP address.
To configure PathWay Access for a static IP address:

Run the PathWay Access setup utility PWSETUP.EXE in DOS or in a DOS box from Windows.

Choose Configuration from the utility menu bar, and then select Advanced Configuration Setup.

In the dialog box entitled Advanced Configuration Setup, find the question that asks Do you want
to use the BOOTP service? (y/n). Enter Y.

Type
[Ctrl]-[Enter]
, followed by Y to overwrite the previous settings.
To configure FastLink II for a dynamic IP address:

Run FastLink II, and select the Connections button at the left of the screen. Highlight the Connect
drop-down box, and select the connection whose settings you want to set for your IP connection.

Click on the
[IP Protocol Settings]
button, and check the Dynamic IP address button.
System File Requirements
The NET.CFG file used for PathWay Access should contain the following lines:
Protocol IP
Bind FLODI
Protocol ARP
Bind FLODI
Link Driver FLODI
Frame ETHERNET_II
Protocol IP 000000000800 ETHERNET_II
Protocol ARP 000000000806 ETHERNET_II
Your AUTOEXEC.BAT (or the file you use to load your network stack) should contain lines like these:
