Charging notes:
• Maximum time required for a charging adapter to charge an empty battery shall be 4 hours�
• Charge at room temperature of +41 °F (+5 °C) to +95 °F (+35 °C)
• Avoid charging in direct sunlight or near radiating heat�
• If not used for extended periods of time, charge battery every six (6) months to preserve battery life�
• The lithium-ion battery must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations or by using the RBRC 1-800 number listed on the battery to locate
your local recycling point� Never incinerate the lithium battery� Do not dispose of the battery with general waste�
Disinfection Instructions:
The BD ClipVac™ Vacuum Unit should be thoroughly disinfected, after each use, using one of the recommended disinfectant solutions listed below:

1� Thoroughly apply to all surfaces of the BD ClipVac™ Vacuum Unit and maintain a wet surface for at least:
a� 3 minutes for Isopropyl Alcohol/Quaternary Ammonia solutions or
b� 4 minutes for Chlorinated bleach solution�
2� Surfaces must remain visibly wet with the disinfectant for the complete timeframe indicated above�
3� Repeat the disinfection steps above if the unit dries prior to the allotted timeframe�
4� Allow the BD ClipVac™ Vacuum Unit to air dry completely prior to storage�

Charging the Battery
Plug the charging cord into the charging adapter� A quick red and green LED flashing is
an indication that charger is ON� Place the battery into the battery bay ensuring that the
5-way connector is fully seated� The LCD fuel gauge on the battery will begin flashing to
indicate it is receiving a charge� The LED indicators on the front of the charging adapter
will provide the charging status� Below are the LED indicators on the charging adapter:
• Green Flashing…………�Battery is charging
• Green Solid………………��Battery is fully charged
• Red Solid……………………�Battery failure, replace battery
Fuel Gauge LCD display on top of the battery:
• 5 Bars = 80% to 100% charged
• 4 Bars = 60% to 79% charged
• 3 Bars = 40% to 59% charged
• 2 Bars = 20% to 39% charged
• 1 Bar = 0% to 19% charged
