Chapter 2: Troubleshooting Procedures
10. The type of gas and message for inputs 1 through 30 individually display.
•
For two seconds, the type of gas displays.
NOTE:
If it is unused, it only displays for a half second.
•
If the alarm input is configured, the alarm message displays for two sec-
onds.
NOTE:
If the alarm message is a custom message, the word custom displays instead of
the message.
11. The LED mapping and system number for inputs 1 through 30 individually
display.
Area Alarm Self-Test
The Area Alarm Modules have a self-test routine. During the routine, the follow-
ing is tested or displayed:
•
Display segments
•
LEDs
•
Type of gas
•
Audible alarm
During this routine, the alarms and error checking are disabled. During the self-
test, the following occurs:
1. To start the test, press and release the
Test key
.
2. The programmed type of gas for that module displays.
3. The 7-segment displays individually light clockwise, ending with the center
segment.
4. The three decimal places and the degree symbol light.
5. The High LED, then the Normal LED, and finally the Low LED light.
6. The alarm sounds.
Local Alarm Self-Test
The Local Alarm has a self-test for the LEDs and audible alarm. The self-test is
activated by pressing and holding the
Test key
for two seconds. The red LEDs
light, and the alarm sounds.
