Replacement
WARNING:
Ensure that the correct type of transducer and DISS demand flow valve is
installed for the type of gas or vacuum being monitored. If incorrect com-
ponents are installed, patient welfare may be at risk.
1. Ensure that the new gas-specific transducer (A) is the correct gas or vacuum
type.
2. Install the DISS nut (O) securing the transducer (A) to the DISS demand flow
valve (P).
3. Being careful not to damage the DISS fittings, securely tighten the DISS nut
(O).
4. Connect the green wire (or shield wire) (K) to the appropriate position on the
terminal block (L) in the transducer (A).
5. Connect the red and black wires (N) to the terminal block (L).
NOTE:
Polarity does not need to be observed for the red and black wires.
6. Tighten the screws (M) securing the wires (K and N) to the terminal
block (L).
7. If the power supply assembly (B) did not need to be removed, go to step 8.
Otherwise, do the following:

in box (J).
b. Install the two screws (E) securing the power supply assembly (B) to the
mounting bracket (F).
c. Connect the two flag terminals (C) from the power supply assembly (B)
to the Area Alarm Breakout P.C. Board (D).
8. Turn on the incoming power to the alarm.
