Chapter 6: General Procedures
WARNING:
No maintenance or testing should ever be undertaken or attempted by
anyone not having general experience in the repair of devices of this
nature. Also, to avoid damaging the unit or any of its components, no
maintenance or testing should be undertaken by qualified individuals who
are not completely familiar with the procedures in this manual. Personal
injury or equipment damage could occur.
CAUTION:
When handling electronic components, wear an antistatic strap. Failure to
do so could result in component damage.
CAUTION:
To prevent component damage, ensure that your hands are clean, and
only handle the P.C. board by its edges.
CAUTION:
For shipping and storage, place the removed P.C. board in an antistatic
protective bag. Equipment damage can occur.
CAUTION:
Use only BeaconMedæs replacement parts. Failure to do so can result in
serious damage to the unit.
CAUTION:
After installation of replacement parts, test the unit to make certain that it
complies with the manufacturer’s published specifications. Failure to do
so could cause equipment damage.
