Calculate the SYSTEM PIPE LENGTH {SPL (3.0” D) = 130 + (6 x 7.9) = 177.4 ft}
D)
Check this SYSTEM PIPE LENGTH to see if it exceeds the minimum pipe size. In this case it does, select
the next larger pipe size from the table (D = 4”).
E) To double-check the pipe size, recalculate the SPL with the new diameter. SPL (D = 4”) = 130 + (6 x 10.0)
= 190 ft. This is in the allowable range.
