Decommissioning
The device must be disconnected from the power supply in order to tempo-
rarily or permanently decommission it.
You must abide by the legal disposal requirements when permanently de-
commissioning the device.

Storage
Store the devices in a dry, frost-free location with a stable temperature. Once
the device has cooled off, pack it in plastic wrapping to protect it against
scratches.
Storage temperature: Between -15 °C and +60 °C

Disposal
Environmental regulations –
disposal of lamps and batteries
UV lamps contain fluorescent materials and other waste containing mercury.
Batteries contain heavy metal compounds.
Within the European Union the national implementation of the Waste Frame-
work Directive 2008/98/EC applies. According to the national waste disposal
laws and in accordance with the municipal waste regulations, proof must be
provided of the proper disposal of UV lamps and batteries.
Your local sales agency will be happy to assist you with the disposal of UV
lamps and batteries:

Inform your local agency of the number of UV lamps and batteries by
telephone or in writing.
The agency will then provide you with the name of a free delivery point for
your lamps or will take care, in conjunction with a disposal company, of the
collection and proper disposal of the lamps. This service is available for a fee.
Outside Germany, the respective national legislation applies. Please contact
your local sales agency.
Packaging
All packaging consists of 100 % recyclable materials. Packaging brought into
circulation by the JK Corporate Group that is no longer required can be re-
turned to the JK Corporate Group. Your partner agency or dealer will be hap-
py to advise.
Disposal of old devices
The device has been manufactured using recyclable materials. The JK Corpo-
rate Group will provide you with information on the content or potential haz-
ards of the materials used.
The manufacturer is obliged to take back and dispose of certain electrical and
electronic components in accordance with the 2002/96/EC Directive.
