DANGER
Danger to life due to unexpected start-up
The following steps are mandatory when preparing for maintenance and servicing activities:
1. Switch off the VADS 1500+ and all attached assemblies.
2. Switch off the power supply and secure against unintentional restart or disconnect the drive from the supply
voltage.

Always switch off the power supply before disconnecting any plug connections.
WARNING
Danger due to high temperatures
During operation, media and machine parts can reach high temperatures. Therefore, a sufficiently long time
must be waited before manual intervention in the machine to avoid burns and scalds.
NOTE
Wear protective gloves
Before carrying out any work on the machine, the machine must cool down for a time appropriate to its tem-
perature.
If this time cannot be guaranteed, protective gloves with adequate heat protection must be used.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to stored residual energies
The occurrence of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical residual energies on the machine
after operating the unit to stop it in an emergency or after switching off the machine must be observed!
WARNING
Safety risk due to incorrect spare parts
Incorrect or faulty spare parts can impair safety and lead to damage, malfunctions or total failure.
Only use original spare parts from the manufacturer.
2.17 DISMANTLING / DECOMMISSIONING
Decommissioning includes shutting down the machine, disconnecting the power and media supply, and cleaning and
preserving the machine for storage or disposal. In both cases, special care must be taken when disconnecting the power
and media supply and when disassembling and transporting away machine parts.

Risk of injury due to stored residual energies
The occurrence of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical residual energies on the machine
after operating the unit to stop it in an emergency or after switching off the machine must be observed!
