ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
5.1 ASSEMBLY AND SETTINGS
General
When assembling components and assemblies, the following points must be observed to avoid injury and damage to
the machine:
•
Third-party components may only be installed if they have been approved by the manufacturer and comply with
the directives and laws applicable in the country of use.
•
All components must be properly aligned and balanced, if necessary, to avoid vibration, imbalance and breakage
during operation.
•
Loose and non-machine parts must be removed from the machine environment after assembly.
•
Protruding parts (pipes, cables, etc.) must be properly mounted, routed and marked.
•
Contact points of components must be clean and intact.

Fill in oil
The VADS 1500+ is delivered without oil. Oil (BECKER LUBE G70)
must be filled in before commissioning.
1. Open the cover on the oil filler neck (pos. 12) to vent the
oil.
2. Fill in oil. The oil level must not exceed the max. level
(upper edge of the oil sight glass (pos. 8)).
3. Close the cap on the oil filler neck
4. The oil level drops to about the middle of the oil sight
glass when the machine is running.
Dimensioning of the media lines
The diameter of the media lines depends on their length.
The diameter of the pipes must be at least the same as the nominal
connection diameter of the connection pieces.
Avoid mechanical tensions on the suction side by installing a
compensator.
When installing media lines that have a high temperature, please
note that these must be covered, insulated and labelled accordingly
in order to prevent injuries and damage to the machine.
5.2 SCREW CONNECTIONS
Screw connections are often used when assembling components and assemblies. The following points must be ob-
served for screw connections:
•
Flange surfaces must be clean and free of oil or grease before screwing.
•
Threaded holes and nuts must be clean.
5.3 ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
The electrical installation of the machine must comply with the requirements of Directive 2006/42/EC and EN 60204:2019.
The following points must be observed in particular when installing the pump:
•
The VADS 1500+ must be fused via overload protection
•
The supply line of the VADS 1500+ must comply with the minimum requirements of the state of the art.
•
The installation of the VADS 1500+ must comply with the requirements on the nameplate of the motor.
•
The installation must comply with the requirements on the nameplate of the inverter
