BECKER VADS 1500+
1. If the VADS 1500+ has been dismantled, it may only be reassembled by personnel authorised and trained by
the manufacturer.
2. The VADS 1500+ must be serviced, cleaned and, if necessary, repaired on the basis of the chapters „Maintenance
and servicing“ and „Cleaning“.
3. Electrical components must be put back into operation in accordance with the installation instructions and the
manufacturer‘s documentation. The power supply must not yet be restored.
4. All safety devices must be fitted and checked for functionality and effectiveness. Damaged parts must be re-
placed immediately.

7.1 OPERATING MODES OF THE SCREW UNIT
Without external PLC control (single unit):
Vacuum or pressure stabilisation via internal PID controller. Setting the operating mode to
„controller“ in the main window.
Setting the setpoint via the setpoint pressure input field in the main window. Setting range:
Vacuum 200 - 1000 mbar abs
Pressure 1000 - 2000 mbar abs
The PID parameters can be set in the controller window. This is accessible with extended
authorisation.
Operation with fixed speed, adjustable in manual mode and changeable during operation via
the setpoint input field in the main window.
Setpoint frequency setting by signal (0-10 V, 4-20 mA) via connection to terminal strip X6.1
/ X6.2 on the mounting plate.
Vacuum: 110 - 200 Hz adjustable.
Pressure: 80 - 165 Hz adjustable.
With external PLC control:
Request by external PLC (terminal strip X4.15 / X4.16): Release contact (normally open contact) of the PLC.
Operation feedback for PLC (terminal strip X4.18 / X4.19).
Operation with setpoint frequency by external PLC (terminal strip X6.1 / X6.2): Signal from the
external PLC (0-10 V).
Vacuum: 110 - 200 Hz adjustable.
Pressure: 80 - 165 Hz adjustable.
7.2 OPERATION ON THE CONTROLLER DISPLAY
To obtain extended rights, it is necessary to tap on the bottom right corner of the touch display. The login dialogue
then appears. The extended rights are valid for one hour by default. The corresponding countdown is displayed on the
right side in the status bar.
The status bar (bottom) shows from left to right:
Connection BUS master for external control.
Display language in the form of the corresponding national flag.
