FAULTS AND FAULT CLEARANCE
The following chapters contain information on faults, errors and defects of the VADS 1500+ and their possible causes.
It is essential to read the chapter Error! Reference source could not be found. „Safety“ must be observed.
In the event of malfunctions, faults and defects, the VADS 1500+ must be shut down immediately and secured against
being switched on again. Correcting faults during operation or when the machine is switched on is strictly prohibited.
If a malfunction or fault occurs, the VADS 1500+ must be switched off and secured against an unexpected start-up.
DANGER
Danger to life due to unexpected start-up
The following steps must be followed when preparing for troubleshooting:
1. Switch off the VADS 1500+ and all attached assemblies.
2. Switch off the power supply and secure it against unintentional reconnection, or disconnect the drive
from the supply voltage.
Work may only be carried out on the VADS 1500+ when it is in operation. The guards may only be deactivated and
dismantled when the machine is at a standstill.
Before troubleshooting, check whether operating fluids have leaked out. If operating materials have leaked out, they
must first be removed to avoid slipping during troubleshooting.
DANGER
Risk of slipping due to leaked coolants and lubricants or media
The following steps must be followed when preparing for troubleshooting:
1. Switch off the VADS 1500+ and all attached assemblies.
2. Switch off the power supply and secure it against unintentional reconnection, or disconnect the drive
from the supply voltage.
If lubricants leak from the machine, the machine must be stopped immediately and secured against an unex-
pected start-up. The contaminated areas may only be entered with the utmost caution when the machine is
at a standstill.
Small puddles of leaked coolants and lubricants must be removed independently using binding agents. The
contaminated operating materials must be disposed of in accordance with the safety data sheet of the ope-
rating material.
After disposing of the leaked lubricants, cleaning the machine and rectifying the malfunction, remove all foreign
bodies from the machine.
The machine may only be restarted when all leaked coolants and lubricants have been collected and there is
no danger to persons.
DANGER
Danger due to defective, dismantled and manipulated protective devices
The VADS 1500+ may only be operated if all safety and protective devices are fully present and functional!
Faulty safety and protective equipment can lead to dangerous situations! For this reason:
1. Switch off the machine immediately,
2. secure against restarting and
3. Disconnect the electrical supply and media line from the machine.
