TO THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.1 GENERAL
These operating instructions contain the necessary information and important notes to ensure safe and efficient use of
the VADS 1500+. This document is an integral part of the machine.
The operator is responsible for ensuring the availability of this document. If the operating instructions are damaged or
lost, the operator is responsible for obtaining a replacement.
The operating instructions contain important information on how to operate the VADS 1500+ safely and properly.
Observing them helps:

Avoid Hazards,
•
Reduce repair costs and downtime, as well as
•
Increase the reliability and service life of the product.
All work on the machine must only be carried out by authorised persons. Unauthorised persons must be removed
from the machine. If persons are assigned to work on the machine, these persons must be expressly designated by an
authorised person for the upcoming activity and informed about the machine before the activity begins.
All persons who carry out activities on the machine must have read and understood these operating instructions. This
applies to the machine as well as to purchased components and assemblies.
Pay special attention to chapter 2 „Basic safety instructions“.
In addition to these operating instructions, the regulations for accident prevention and environmental protection ap-
plicable in the country of use and at the place of use must also be observed.
The illustrations in these operating instructions are for general understanding and may not represent the machine to
scale or realistically. This applies in particular to illustrations of computer-aided representations of the machine model.
1.2 STRUCTURE OF THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Safety instructions are identified by a pictogram and a signal word. The following signal words are used to indicate
dangers, prohibitions and important information:
DANGER
This signal word indicates an imminent danger that will result in serious injury or even death.
WARNING
This signal word indicates a possibly imminent danger that can result in serious injuries or even death.
CAUTION
This signal word indicates a possible imminent danger that may result in minor or severe injuries.

This signal word indicates a possible imminent danger that may result in property damage.
