Control Dial
The control dial (

) is used to switch the device on and off and set the temperature of the water.
The following settings can be selected with the control dial:
O
The device is switched off.
Warm
water
Hot
water
Boiling
water
Inserting the Drip Tray
The device is supplied with a drip tray (

) as the discharge tap (

) might continue to drip after
the water has been removed.
Only attach the drip tray to the device / remove the drip tray from the device when there
is no water in the water reservoir (

) and the teapot (

) is not placed on the device.
1. Tilt the device backwards slightly.
2. Place the drip tray under the device so that the arrow on the drip tray is aligned with the
arrow on the base (

3. Lower the device down again and make sure that the edge of the base is placed in the groove
of the drip tray.
4. Place the cover (

) on the drip tray.
Removing / Attaching the Lid
1. Hold the lid (

) by the lid handles (

If the device has been in operation, use potholders or similar gloves as the lid handles might
be hot. Always allow the device to cool down before using it again.
2. To take off the lid, turn the marking on the lid (

) anticlockwise to the
position on the
water reservoir (

) (

).
3. To close the lid, place it on so that the marking on the lid (
•
) points towards the
position
on the water reservoir. Turn the lid clockwise so that the marking on the lid (
•
) is in the
position. The lid is now locked in place (

).
Filling the Water Reservoir
Only ever
fi
ll the water reservoir (
5
) with fresh, clear tap water. Do not pour in any other
liquids.
1. Open the lid (

) (see the “Operation” chapter – “Removing / Attaching the Lid”).
2. Pour the desired quantity of water (maximum 8 litres) into the water reservoir. Note the
MAX
marking (
14
).
3. Close the lid (see the “Operation” chapter – “Removing / Attaching the Lid”).
