5.4 Temperature Measurement
Prior to any temperature measu-
rement it has to be ensured that
the surface to be measures is
not live. Failure to comply with
this prescription can lead to
dangerous corporal user injuries
or cause instrument damage.
To avoid burns only touch UUT
by means of the thermocouple.
Select measurement range
Temp
via measurement function
selection switch.
Connect the thermocouple sup-
plied to
COM
and
Tem
/
/
/
sockets by respecting cor-
rect polarity.
Select the desired measurement
type (°C / °F). Either C or F is dis-
played for the respectively selec-
ted type of measurement.
Connect the thermocouple to
UUT.
Read the measurement result
displayed on the screen.
5.5 Resistance Measurement
Prior to any resistance measure-
ment it has to be ensured that
the resistor to be tested is not
live. Failure to comply with this
prescription can lead to dange-
rous corporal user injuries or
cause instrument damage.
Additionally, foreign voltages fal-
sify the measurement result.
Select measurement range
/
via measurement func-
tion selection switch.
Connect the black test lead to the
COM
socket and the red test lead
to the
Temp
/
/
/
socket.
The resistance measurement
range is pre-selected. If the
symbol appears on the display
screen, the resistance measure-
ment range can be selected
using key
.
Connect the test leads to UUT.
Read the measurement result
displayed on the screen.
