For questions about this product, or part inquiries, please contact our Customer Service Center as listed below.
Before beginning assembly, read the assembly instructions thoroughly and inspect parts listing to insure that
all parts have been included. During the assembly process, install all nuts and bolts finger tight only to help
facilitate the alignment of parts.
1. Assemble the Front Top Ring (3) and the Back Top Ring (4) together, using twelve 1/4” x 1/2” Truss Head Bolts (8)
and 1/4” Hex Nuts (10). Leave out the bottom bolt and nut at each vertical seam. Also leave out the second and
third bolt and nut from the top curl on each vertical seam. Also leave out the second and third bolt and nut from the
top curl on each vertical seam for installing the the Top Brace (30). Place notched end with rod inside the opposite
end.
NOTE: If rod will not fit, it may be necessary to open the opposite end by using a punch.
NOTE: NO MORE THAN TWO SETS OF ADD-A-RINGS ARE RECOMMENDED.
2. Assemble the two Add-A-Ring Halves (5) together using fourteen 1/4” x 1/2” Truss Head Bolts (8) and 1/4” Hex Nuts
(10). Leave out the top and bottom bolt and nut at each seam. Place notched end with rod inside the opposite end.
NOTE: If rod will not fit, it may be necessary to open up the opposite end by using a punch.
Set assembled
Top Ring on top of assembled Add-A-Ring with vertical seams aligned and fasten with eight 1/4” x 1/2” Truss Head
Bolts (8) and 1/4” Hex Nuts (10) making sure to leave holes for Legs open.
NOTE: If this is to be a two ton bin,
assemble second set of Add-A-Rings per M-15 Add-A-Ring Package Instructions.
3. During shipment, the Cone Assembly (29) may become slightly “out of round” or bent. If this occurs, go around the
Cone using a rubber mallet to make sure it is round so the Rings will fit down over it properly.
4. Place assembled rings over the Cone Assembly (29) and fasten using eight 1/4” x 1/2” Truss Head Bolts (8) and
1/4” Hex Nuts (10). Make sure to leave holes for Legs open.
5. Install the Top Brace (30) into the assembled Top Ring at the second and third holes down on the vertical seams
and secure with four 1/4” x 1/2” Hex Head Bolts (12) and 1/4” Whiz Nuts (11). Also at this time attach a Lid Handle
(14) to front of Top Ring left of Pivot Latch hole. Use two 1/4” x 3/8” Truss Head Bolts (15) and 1/4” Eslock Nuts
(16) to fasten.
6. Assemble three Leg Weldments (1) and one Leg Ladder Weldment (2) to bin, using twenty-four 5/16” x 3/4” Hex
Head Bolts (13), 5/16” Hex Nuts (9), 5/16” Washers (22). Be sure the Ladder Leg Weldment (2) is at front of bin and
below the Lid Handle (14) mentioned in step 5.
NOTE: If this is to be a two ton bin, refer to M-15 Add-A-Ring
Package Instructions at this time.
7. Attach four Leg Braces (31) using eight 5/16” x 3/4” Hex Head Bolts (13) and 5/16” Hex Nuts (9).
8. Tighten all bolts and nuts on vertical and horizontal seams as follows: First tighten the horizontal seams, starting at
the middle and working each way toward the vertical seams. Then tighten the vertical seams. This method will
insure the tightest fit possible to avoid water leakage. Make sure legs are square and as level as possible and
tighten legs to bin. Next, tighten bolts on Leg Braces (31).
9. Attach Lid Handle (14) to Top Lid (32) using two 1/4” x 3/8” Truss Head Bolts (15) and 1/4” Eslock Nuts (16). Insert
bolts from the inside of the Top Lid so the nuts are on the outside.
10. Attach the Pivot Latch (19) to front of Top Ring using one 1/4” x 1/2” Hex Head Bolt (12) and 1/4” Eslock Nut (16).
NOTE: Be sure not to over tighten so that the Latch turns freely.
