Lowering runway
DANGER – Risk of vehicle falling or tilting
Risk of (fatal) injury on lowering the runway and
the vehicle.
¶
Make sure there is no-one in the vehicle or
in the area of the lifting platform.
¶
Keep away from the lifting platform.
¶
Observe the lifting platform and vehicle.
¶
Make sure both runways are lowered evenly.
DANGER – Risk of crushing when lowering
runway
Risk of (fatal) injury on lowering the runway.
¶
Make sure there is no-one in the area of the
lifting platform.
¶
Keep away from the lifting platform.
1.
Remove all non-secured tools and other objects from
the vehicle and the lifting platform.
2.
Press the "Lift" button (
o
) for approx. 1 second.
The runway moves upwards slightly.
The detent pins are retracted, the runway is
released.
3.
Keep the "Lower" button (
u
) pressed.
The runway moves downwards for as long as the
button is pressed.
Lowering of the runway is stopped automatically
at a height of 120 mm (foot protection safety
level).
4.
Check the area beneath the runway.
5.
If it is safe to do so, press and hold the "Lower"
button (
u
) again.
A warning signal sounds and the runway moves
down to the bottom position.

The runway and vehicle are now fully lowered.

Driving vehicle off
1.
Make sure the runway is completely lowered.
2.
Make sure the automatic roll-off guard on the drive-
on ramp is lowered.
3.
Make sure there are no obstacles in the exit area.
4.
Drive the vehicle off the runway in a straight line.

The lifting platform is empty.

Switch-off
Switch off the VLH 4440 by way of the master switch.
1.
Set the master switch to the OFF (O) position.
2.
Secure to prevent unauthorized switch-on.

Lifting platform is deactivated.
