8. Assembly
instructions
Check the device for possible transport damage and for completeness before the assembly. Any installed equipment for transportation
safety has to be removed. Special measures concerning noise prevention or oscillation reduction do not have to be taken.
Comply with the following conditions when assembling a complete machine from this device and other components.
Mind a proper and eco-friendly assembly without impairment of persons’ health and safety:
8.1
Assembly of the device
The device can either be positioned with a horizontal, vertically hanging or vertically upright cartridge. When the cartridge is in a
vertically upright position, it must be ensured that no dirt or other pollutions can fall into the suction chamber below the cartridge. At
delivery, the fasting screws are enclosed loosely to the device. For the supply, the device is connected via a bypass line to the supply
and return of the hydraulic system of the carrier device. For the M14 version, this can either be done via hose lines or direct flange
connection. For the M16 version, the device must be connected with hoses.
Consult the manufacturer of the carrier device on the assembly location and type of the device.
Observe the information on the fastening bores and connections in the dimensional drawing (see chapter 8.1.3 “Attachment
dimensions of version M14” and chapter 8.2.4 “Attachment dimensions of version M16”).
If possible, the device should be protected against environmental and mechanical influences when choosing the assembly location.
Ensure an unobstructed access, e.g. for changing the cartridge.
8.1.1 Hose connection variant for version M14
Close the bores for the flange connection version F1-F3 (fig. 1) on the back side of the device. Use the enclosed head cap
screws M4x12 and the CU sealing rings 4x8x1 for this. In this application case, the O-rings 9x2,5, the screw plugs G1/4 and the
sealing rings 13x18x1,5 are unnecessary.
For the lubricant connection S1 (fig. 1), assemble one of the supplied male stud couplings. The lubricant connection S1 can
optionally also be assembled to one of the alternative lubricant connections (S4 to S6). For this, the screw plug incl. Cu sealing ring
must be replaced by the input fitting at the corresponding lubricant connection (fig. 2, S4 to S6).
Assemble the two other male stud couplings at the hydraulic supply S3 and hydraulic return S2.
Tighten the device with two hexagon head screws M14x110 incl. lock washers to the carrier device (110 Nm).
Connect the hydraulic supply S3 and hydraulic return S2 of the device by a bypass line with the hydraulic system of the carrier
device.
Connect the lubricant line to the lubricant connection S1 (alternative S4 to S6).
8.1.2 Flange connection variant for version M14
Close the bores for the hose connection version S1-S3 (fig. 1) at the device. Use the enclosed screw plugs G1/4 and the Cu sealing
rings 13x18x1,5 for this. In this application case, the male stud couplings, the head cap screws M4x12 and the Cu sealing
rings 4x8x1 are unnecessary.
For the flange connection version, the threads G1/4 must be closed with the enclosed screw plugs and sealing rings. The enclosed
O-rings can be used to seal the flange connections.
Ensure that the connection bores lie in the required area according to the drilling pattern in fig. 1!
For the sealing at the flange connections, insert the enclosed O-rings 9x2,5 into the bores F1-F3. Ensure utmost cleanliness in the
area of the sealing surfaces!
Tighten the device with two hexagon head screws M14x110 incl. lock washers to the carrier device (110 Nm).
Connect the hydraulic supply S3 and hydraulic return S2 of the device by a bypass line with the hydraulic system of the carrier
device.
Connect the lubricant line to the lubricant connection S1 (alternative S4 to S6).
