Now the playing board will zwist and tumble!
But who will be able to keep the right balance when the flowers in the meadow begin blowing in
the wind? Only with a certain amount of fine motor skills and precise observation can you help the
frog and his friends land safely in the garden. But beware: Don’t get splashed!
There are two game variations that challenge both concentration and fine motor skills.
Game idea
The meadow animals all met in a group down at the pond to cool down a bit on a hot summer day.
“Let’s play a game,” says the little dragonfly. “Everyone picks a flower they want to fly to without
getting wet, and whoever is dry at the end of the game wins.” Can you help the animals get to the
flowers and water lilies without getting wet, or will you get a drop of water on you?
Game preparation
There are two variations of the game for you to choose from. On the earth side you play with the
coloured and animal dice combined with the frog, butterfly and bee figures. This side is especially
good for smaller children because there are only four different colours and the figures don‘t have to
be positioned perfectly.
On the water side, the coloured dice are left out and you only play with the dragonfly and animal
dice. In this version, all of the playing pieces and the dragonfly are involved. The water side is
especially good for older children because there are five different colours to be recognised and
the pieces need to be perfectly placed on the right spot on the two-tone water lilies. The swinging
dragonfly also makes the game more difficult.
Take the game disc out of the box and place it with the desired side facing up in the middle of the
table. The animals, dice and water drops are set up right next to the disc.
How to play
Flower meadow
For this variation you need to flip the game board to the earth
side and use the animal and coloured dice. The flowers are
shown here in four different colours separated by hedges.
The youngest player gets to begin. After that the game proceeds
clockwise. ¬ The starting player rolls the colour dice and the ani
-
mal dice and takes the animal shown. Then the player carefully
– Place the game disc on the
table with the earth or water side
facing up
– Lay out the playing pieces, dice
and water drops
