Increasing or decreasing the settings for each of the controls (except for the Units control) can
be done by:
•
Tapping
the
+
or
–
buttons to change the setting in single increments/decrements (e.g. 1, 2,
3, etc.)
•
Tapping and holding the
+
or
–
buttons
while the settings increase or decrease by at least
five single increments/decrements, at which time, the setting will then automatically increase
or decrease by whole increments/decrements of 10 (e.g. 5, 15, 25, etc.)

Top Edge
The scanner identifies the top edge of the
document using the Top Edge control
setting. The area of the document outside
of the specified top edge that is not scanned
is called the zone. The zone starts from the
top of the document to the value specified
via this function. A value larger than zero
defines a zone on the document that is not
scanned. No zone exists if the setting for
the Top Edge control is ‘none’.
Bottom Edge
The scanner identifies the bottom edge of a
document using the Bottom Edge control
setting. The area of the document outside of
the specified bottom edge that is not
scanned is called the zone. The zone starts
from the actual bottom of the document to
the value specified via this function. A value
larger than zero defines a zone on the
document that is not scanned. No zone
exists if the setting for the Bottom Edge
control is ‘none’.
Units
The units used for the margin controls are
specified using the Units control setting.
The units can be inch, mm, cm, pixel or
mils. To cycle through or select a setting,
tap on the
Units
button.
Left Edge
The scanner identifies the left edge of a
document using the Left Edge control
setting. The area of the document outside
the specified left edge that is not scanned is
called the zone. The zone starts from the
actual left edge of the document to the
value specified via this function. A value

document using the Right Edge control
