Cable Connection Using the
Tip/Ring Distribution Panel
The MAP/100 Tip/Ring distribution panel (
) is located on the back of
the chassis. This panel allows you to connect a maximum of 42 channels (up to
seven Tip/Ring circuit cards).
provides the numbering scheme for connecting the short modular
cords provided with the Tip/Ring cards to the panel. Use this information, the
channel numbers on the Tip/Ring circuit cards, and the number of Tip/Ring
circuit cards in the system to connect the Tip/Ring circuit card modular jacks to
the appropriate jacks on the Tip/Ring distribution panel.

To connect the panel:
1. Insert the modular cord into the appropriate jack.
2. Remove any slack in the cable on the back of the unit by dressing it so
that it is stored in the area above the distribution panel.
NOTE:
Use cable ties, if necessary, to dress the cables neatly.
