Before removing the battery charger cable clamps from the
terminals, turn the charger off.
Make sure the battery charger cable clamps are completely
in contact with the battery terminals and are not short circuit-
ed.A corroded clamp may generate heat in the contact area
and an ineffective clamp spring may cause sparks.
If the battery overheats during the charging process, dis-
connect the battery charger and allow it to cool down before
proceeding again. The batteries that overheat may explode!!
As shown in Fig. F, the open-circuit voltage of a battery sta-
bilises 30 minutes after the charging end, before measuring
the open-circuit voltage.
