When reaching the limiting frequency fg, the displayed value is lower by
a factor of 0.707 than the actual value without filter. Press the key again
to switch back to normal operating mode.

In order to prevent any danger, always measure a present volt-
age first without low-pass filter (high-frequency suppression) to
detect a dangerous voltage.
INRUSH function
(inrush current measurement):
In measuring mode “A AC”, press the
HFR key
8
for approx. 2 seconds
to enable the inrush current measurement. At the same time, the digi-
tal display
K
shows the
symbol. Press the key again to select a
suitable measuring range. The INRUSH function initiates a measuring
process for 100 milliseconds after a trigger current is applied. The aver-
aged value of this time period is displayed. Press the key
8
for approx.
2 seconds to switch back to the measuring mode.

5.1.10 The
MIN/ MAX
key

has two functions:
MAX/MIN
function:
The MIN/MAX function automatically records and stores the highest and
the lowest measured value. By pressing the key again, the following
values are displayed: “MAX/MIN” displays the current measured value,
“
MAX
” displays the highest value stored and “
MIN
” displays the lowest
value stored. Press the
HOLD/ZERO
key
5
to pause the MIN/MAX
function. Press the key for approx. 2 seconds to switch back to normal
operating mode.
Voltage indicator function:
Press the key for approx. 2 seconds to enable the voltage indicator func-
tion (VoltSense) for non-contact detection of an alternating field (see
section 8.10).
5.1.11 The
MODE key (blue)
J
has two functions:
Press
the
MODE key (blue)
J
to select the secondary or third function
of the rotary switch position.
Press the key for approx. 2 seconds to enable or disable the display

switch is switched on from switch position “OFF” or if a key is pressed.
The switch-off time can be set (see section 5.1.13).
5.1.13 The BENNING CM 10-PV offers individual setting possibilities. To
change a setting, press one of the following keys and simultaneously
switch on the BENNING CM 10-PV from the “OFF” position.
