• While the shutter is pressed down halfway, the AF area color changes to yellow-green,
camera shake warning (appears only if the camera itself detects possible shaking),
aperture, shutter speed and ISO setting are also shown on the screen.

Getting started
3.3.1 Turning the power on / off
1. Press [
] until the digital camera turns on. Alternatively, you can press the [

button to turn on the camera.
2. To turn the power off, press [
] again.
3.3.2 Initial setting
You will be prompted to set up the language and the date and time when the camera is turned
on for the first time.

Setting the language
You will be prompted to set up the language when the camera is turned on for the first time.
1. Press

] to move to the Setup menu.
2. Press [

] to move to Language, and then press [

]. (Steps 1 and 2
are skipped when the camera is turned on for the first time.)

] to locate the language you want.

Setting the date and time
You need to set the date and time when the camera is turned on for the first time, or when the
battery has been removed from the camera for a long time. The date and time are used to
record the moment a file is captured.
1. Press

] to move to the Setup menu. (Step 1 is not needed
when the camera is turned on for the first time.)

] to select Year, Month, Day, Time, and Format fields.
