Basic operations
Initial setup
Before using your Smart Box for the very first time, you will have to configure settings such as
language, display, network, and so on. Confirm items below before proceed.
• You have correctly connected power supply, controller, and HDMI of Smart Box to display.
• If you wish to use Smart Box with wireless network, please make sure your have an SSID and its
password in hand.
1. Wait for the Smart Box to boot up with the BenQ screen. This may take a moment.
2. Choose a preferred language and select . Set up the network, date and time, Google™
Account (required for Google Services), payment information (for online purchase in Google
Play™) and owner information as needed. Or you can skip some of these steps and complete
the setup later.
3. After initial setup, you will be directed to the main screen as illustrated.
You may directly perform desired apps or functions here. At the bottom are some of the favorite
apps for quick pick.
