RSS (Real Simple Syndication) is a method used to publish
frequently updated web site content, such as news headlines,
blog entries, or podcasts. An RSS document (called a "feed")
contains a summary of content from an associated web site or
the full text. When you subscribe to an RSS feed, you will receive
an update once the publisher releases new content. You can view
RSS feeds that you have subscribed to with the pre-installed
"Feed Viewer" gadget.
Finding and subscribing to RSS feeds
1. You can use Internet Explorer 7 to find RSS feeds, subscribe
to them, and read the content.
2. Browse to a web site that offers RSS feeds. The RSS icons
(
or
) in the browser toolbar lights up when it
identifies a web page that contains an RSS feed.
3. Subscribe to the RSS feeds that you like. Then, you can enjoy
viewing these RSS feeds easily with "Feed Viewer".
