Please see the Handling and Installation Guidelines in Chapter 1 for more information.
3.1 Choose a Suitable Location
Modules may be installed at any angle from horizontal to vertical. Select the appropriate
orientation to maximize sunlight exposure.
The modules should not be shaded; shading will affect module output significantly.
Constant module shade can cause module “hotspots” which could shorten the life of the
product over extended periods of time.
Module should never be fully submerged or installed on a mobile location (i.e. boat).
3.2 General Installation Guidelines
Do not remove or alter the module frame, doing so may void product warranty.
Additional mounting holes may damage the module and compromise frame strength.
The gap between the module and system structure and ground is required to prevent
wiring damage and allows air to circulate behind the module.
* Traditional mounting systems require a gap between two modules that has a minimum
20mm for common use.

Do not install the modules where there may be flammable gases or vapors, since sparks
may be produced.
BenQ Modules can be installed using any option described in the Mounting Options
section, including the Zep mounting system, per the instructions in this manual.
Not mounting the modules as directed in this manual may void the product warranty.
All screws and/or clamps used to secure the modules must be rated for this use.
