Charging (bomb charging)
W
e check the weight of the gas bottle and zero scales.
Open the bottle valve (One valve Liquid, bottle upright) and charge to the correct weight listed
on the unit. R290 is a mono structure gas.
Extra refrigerant
Over 4 meters
2.0 – 3.9kw 10 grams per meter
4.0 – above 15 grams per meter
Note: Not all charge has gone in, shut of bottle valve, wait 5-10 minutes and start the system.
3minute delays and HP /LP are fitted and is very low these may need to be bridge for charging
Start the system and continue charging very slowly as the gas maybe sucked in very quickly
(avoid Liquid refrigerant going directly into the compressor)
Check for leaks with a Hydrocarbon leak detector or soap mixture.
Seal all caps with Leakloc to seal off in case of leak.
Commissioning and Handover
Start system in cooling and in heating (depending on temperature of Day)
Check all TD, running pressures and Amp draws are within specification.
Hand over operating instructions to the Client and explain the units operation, if you cannot
hand over leave instructions and infra red controller is plain site for the Client.
