General operation of the device

WARNING!
Risk of burns on hot parts!
The hob, cookware and the prepared foot can become very
hot while working with the device. The heating time can be
very short with induction hobs.
☞
Avoid contact with hot parts.
☞
Monitor the device during the cooking process.
For optimum use of the hob:
☞
Make sure that the hob is clean and clear of deposits.
☞
Make sure that the base of the cookware used is clean.
☞
Lift the cookware before moving it into a different
position.
☞
Use cookware that is sufficiently large to avoid spilling
over.
☞
Do not use the hob for peeling, cutting or setting
ingredients aside.
☞
Make sure that sugar, plastic, aluminium foil and similar
materials do not come into contact with the hot hob.
If they do, remove them immediately.
☞
Observe the instructions for cleaning the hob.

Switch the extraction on, in order to reduce the heat
development beneath the hob.

When the device is switched off, only the on/
off button lights up. The brightness changes
softly and continuously.
To switch the device on:
☞
Touch the button for 3 seconds.

The buttons for the cooking zones,
extraction and menus are available for
input.
If no input takes place:
y
The device switches off after 60 seconds.
y
Other buttons or indicators go out.
Display after switching on:
Symbols for previously used functions (e.g. automatic pot
recognition) may also light up.
The cooking zone is selected with the
corresponding 7-segment display or via the
automatic pot recognition.

Touch the 7-segment display.
y
The 7-segment display lights up brightly.
y
Further entries only apply for the selected
cooking zone.

Choose a power level by tapping or
swiping the slider.
y
The position of the slider is displayed in
colour.
y
The cooking zone is heated accordingly.
y
The automatic extraction starts with the
appropriate setting.
The selected power level is displayed
(e.g. power level 5).
If a power level has been selected and the
symbol for the pot detection appears:
y
There is no cookware on the cooking zone.
y
The cookware is not suitable for the
induction hob.
To switch the device off:
☞
Touch the button for 3 seconds.
y
The run-on function starts with the
appropriate setting. The run-on function is
stopped by pressing the button again.
☞
To save energy, switch the device off when the cooking
process is finished.
When not in use, the appliance is automatically switched off
after a certain time.
Residual heat - display illuminates in colour for
as long as the cooking zone is hot after the
cooking zone has been switched off.
If the display is illuminated, there is a risk of
burns.

Do not touch the cooking zone.
y
Do not place heat-sensitive objects on the
cooking zone.

the device is switched on.
