4.5.3 

Head chef function

Function for adjustment of cooking zones to a stored cooking 
level. Display of the pot recognition is deactivated with this 
function.

Settings with the initial start of the function:

y

The two left cooking zones can be interconnected with 
the bridge function and started on power level 7.

y

The rear right cooking zone starts on power level 5.

y

The front right cooking zone starts on power level 3.

If the function is used, the most recently used settings are 
saved permanently. The stored settings are reactivated the 
next time the function is started.

Touch the symbol.

y

The word “CHEF” flashes briefly in the 
4x 7-segment display.

y

The cooking zones are ready for the 
cooking process in the saved power levels.

To switch off the function:

Touch the hob menu button. 

☞

Touch the symbol again.

Automatic pot recognition function

Function for automatic recognition of cookware placed on a 
cooking zone.

Upon detection, the 7-segment display for the cooking 
zone in use lights up.

y

It is possible to operate the selected cooking zone directly 
via the slider. 

y

As delivered, the function is activated.

The symbol illuminates dimly.

y

Automatic pot recognition is switched off.

To switch the function on again:

Touch the symbol again.

The symbol illuminates brightly.

If the “bridge” function is in use, the cookware may not be 
automatically detected (e.g. because the size is insufficient or 
the material does not optimally conduct).

4.5.5 

“Pot speed test” function

Function for determining whether the cookware is suitable 
for use with the induction hob.
The effectiveness and cooking speed of the cookware are 
measured with this function.

This function can only be executed if all cooking zones are 
available and set to power level 0. This function can only be 
executed on the rear right cooking zone.

Touch the symbol for 3 seconds.

The symbol illuminates.

The 7-segment display on the rear right 
cooking zone indicates readiness for testing.

Cooking zones with this display cannot be 
used for the test.

Place the cookware on the cooking zone 
for the test.

y

The 7-segment display flashes.

y

The test runs.

The test result is displayed for 3 seconds as follows:

Low speed level. 
The cookware is not recommended for the 
induction hob.

Medium speed level. 
The cookware is suitable for the induction 
hob.

High speed level. 
The cookware is optimal for the induction 
hob.

If this display appears, the cookware is not 
suitable for the induction hob.
