3.1
Safety instructions for installation

This chapter contains important information for the safe
installation of the device.

Carry out the installation as described.

When working at heights, ensure good stable footing
(e.g. stable stepladder).

The hob and other parts that can be touched must be
allowed to cool prior to installation.

Store the film or other parts of the packaging in a location
which is inaccessible to children.

The device must be in an undamaged and fault-free
condition prior to installation.
y
Cables must not be kinked, crushed or damaged.
y
Ensure that the power supply is stable and remains so
prior to the installation.
3.2
Requirements for the front panels
The safety switch-off for the ceiling lift hood is set in the
factory. The manufacturer must therefore be informed of
the weights of the front panels in advance. Retrospective
adjustment of the safety switch-off is prohibited.

Determine the weight of the front panels.
☞
Provide the weight information to the manufacturer of
the ceiling lift hood.
3.2.1
Unpack the device

Unpack the device and all accompanying parts carefully.
☞
Set the device down on a firm, clean and protective
surface (e.g. thick cardboard).

Check the device and its constituent parts for damage.
☞
Check the delivery is complete.

Preparation for installation

Familiarise yourself with the installation situation and the
associated documents:

Installation location

Ensure that the front panels are ready for assembly.
☞
Ensure that the ceiling lift hood is mounted correctly and
connected.
Observe the associated documentation.

Assemble the tools and materials required:

Stable stepladder
y
Folding rule or measuring tape
y
Pencil
y
Spirit level
y
Phillips screwdriver PH1, PH2
y
SW 2.5 mm Allen key
y
Protective material (e.g. thick cardboard) for the hob
and the worktops

Keep the installation area free of objects that could be in
the way or that could be damaged.
☞
Make sure that the hob and other parts that could be
touched have cooled down.
☞
Protect the hob and other surfaces in the installation area
(e.g. with thick cardboard).
