To achieve an optimal efficiency in removing cooking fumes:
☞
Turn the device on 1-2 minutes before you start cooking.
This allows the flow of air to build up, and the fumes are
removed at an early stage.
☞
In order to collect the cooking fumes effectively, use the
rear hob plates for intensive cooking.
☞
During the cooking process, switch to a power level that
is appropriate for the intensity of the cooking vapours:
y
Power level 1 - lowest fan power
y
Power level 2 - medium fan power
y
Power level 3 - high fan power
☞
If the intensity of the cooking vapours does not subside,
switch to a higher power level.
☞
Switch to the power level POWER when searing. After
6 minutes, the device automatically switches back to
power level 3.
To activate the power level POWER permanently,
the corresponding button must be pushed again.
Then the device doesn’t switch back.
☞
Check the fresh air supply at regular intervals.
☞
Use the device also to reduce other unpleasant smells.
Such as from:
y
Onions and garlic
y
Oven, microwave and steamer
y
Fondue and raclette
☞
Turn on the run-on function when you have finished
cooking.
☞
After use, turn the device off. If the automatic run-on
function is activated, the run-on time (10 minutes) starts
in power level 1.
With use of the BackFlow technology, if a power level is
active then a gentle air flow is routed from the air channel
on the underside of the device to the front air inlet. This air
circulation is necessary. The air channel on the underside of
the device must never be closed off.
After switching off, LED 2 glows every 8-10 weeks hours as a
reminder about cleaning the separating unit.
If LED 2 flashes:
☞
Clean the separating unit.
☞
Observe the stipulations for cleaning.
D
☞
Press the run-on function button to end the flashing
display.
After 12 hours without operation, the device (incl. lighting)
automatically switches off.
