The Bergans Helium Dome is easily assembled.
Nonetheless, we recommend that you do a
test assembly of the tent prior to use. This will
provide you with useful experience as it is often
dark when you pitch your tent!
MAINTENANCE OF BERGANS TENTS:
Bergans tents are manufactured in a heavy duty
nylon canvas. Nevertheless, use the tent with
care.
Wipe dry dirt and grime from the tent using
a moist cloth at the end of your trip. The tent
should always be aired thoroughly after use. If
the inside of the tent is damp from condensation,
turn it inside out to dry.
Bergans tents are washable. Wash by hand in a
large tub using water at a maximum temperature
of 40°C. Detergents should be avoided unless
the tent is very dirty. If it is necessary to use
detergents, the mildest type should be used.
Enzyme-based agents may harm the coating and
should be avoided.
A FEW TIPS ON THE CHOICE OF A
CAMPSITE:
Choose a campsite that is sheltered from the
wind. A campsite sheltered from the wind is
better than a flat, windy site.
Clear the site of sharp stones and twigs.
Remember that bushes and shrubs not only
provide shelter from the wind, but may also
damage the tent if the wind should increase in
strength.
Respect nature and the owner of the land. Do
not destroy vegetation needlessly, and tidy
waste from the camp site before leaving. This
will enable others to enjoy a camping trip in the
area as well.
Respect seasonal prohibitions against the use
of open camp fires.
