ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION FOR
BERGANS HELIUM DOME:
• Assemble all the poles together.
• Thread the poles through the respective pole
channels in the inner tent. The poles and
channels are colour coded to make assembly
simpler. Fig. 1.
• Pitch up the tent by fitting the pole ends into
the black plastic cups. These are adjustable
and help tighten the tent once the poles have
been installed. Fig. 2.
• The outer cloth is then drawn over the inner
tent and assembled together with the inner
tent using quick-release buckles in each
corner. Fig. 3.
• Tighten the tent using the tent pegs and
guy lines
TIP:
During assembly, fit the fly sheet to the
inner tent and keep them together using 2 clips.
This way it won’t fly away.
VENTILATE THE TENT THOROUGHLY
People use a lot of oxygen, converting it to
vapour and CO₂ gas that needs to be dispersed.
Cooking also generates a lot of vapour that
needs to be dispersed.
If condensation forms on the outside of the
tent during the night, shake the tent carefully
while it is still assembled. This will ensure that
most of the moisture will run down inside of the
outer tent wall, and prevent the inner walls from
becoming unnecessarily damp. If possible, you
should use cooking equipment outside the tent.
USE OF FLAMES
Do not use flames in the inner tent. All
cooking appliances should therefore be lit
outside the tent. Be particularly careful with
all flames by the mosquito net doors. This
material is more flammable than the fabric of
the rest of the tent. Pitch the tent well away
from bonfires or naked flames! Remember
that the wind may turn.
Ensure that the tent is sufficiently
ventilated, by keeping the vents open.
