Instructions

BeSafe 1-2-3 can only be used with the vehicle’s 3-point seat belt.

1.

Push the shoulder and head supports and back support as far as
possible into the seat upholstery.

2.

Seat the child and insert the 3-point belt lock into the lock. The
shoulder belt must run between the head and shoulder supports.

3.

The lap belt must run over the child’s pelvis.

4.

The cross-section of the seat cushion forms a guide for the lap belt.
The shoulder belt must also pass through the lap belt guide at the
point where it touches the seat.

5.

The shoulder belt must now be fixed with the fixing clamp (Fig. 2).

6.

When doing so, tighten the 3-point belt so that it fits snugly over the
child without being uncomfortable.

7.

As the child grows, adjust the head-shoulder supports and back
supports to fit the child’s upper body.

8.

Make sure the belt does not get twisted in use.

·

Do not continue to use the child seat after an accident.

·

Make no changes or other alterations to the child seat.

Fixing clamp

The fixing clamp (Fig. 2) must be used to secure the shoul-
der belt. This prevents the child pulling the loose belt out of
the belt roller.

Fix the fixing clamp to the shoulder belt at the side of the seat

between the shoulder and the head support.

Tighten the seat belt as firmly as possible, without causing
the child discomfort.

When the fixing clamp is used, the seat belt will always be

available in the correct length

We recommend:

Allow plenty of time with the child before starting to use the
child seat. The child needs to become familiar with the seat
and seat belt. To encourage use of the seat, explain to the
child that it is important for road safety. In vehicles with airbag
on the front passenger seat, children under 12 should not sit
in the front.
