2.1.4 CYLINDER HEAD: UNCOU-
PLING FROM CYLINDER
Five screws fasten the head to the cylinder.
Remove the cylinder head screw

on the outside of
the chain-side cylinder head.
Remove the four cylinder head fixing screws

, in a
criss-cross pattern. Start with one of the two screws
outside the cylinder head compartment.
Then remove the respective washers.
Lift the cylinder head

with one hand and at the
same time with the other hold the chain in tension
thus preventing jams during disassembly.
With the cylinder head lifted a few centimetres,
drop the chain inside the compartment and pull out
the head.
ATTENTION:
should the chain fall inside, place it in
tension before lifting the head.
ATTENTION:
during lifting of the head, pay attention
to the centring bushes.
