COMPUTER CONSOLE OPERATION CONTINUED
HRC PROGRAM (Use with wireless chest strap or handlebar pulse sensors)
NOTE: The chest strap will take priority over the hand pulse sensors.
NOTE: Please calculate your heart rate exercise range before starting to exercise. See page
25 for instructions.
1. Press the UP or DOWN keys to select MANUAL or PROGRAM mode. The corresponding
LED will light. After selecting PROGRAM, press the MODE key to confirm.
2. The left PROGRAM LED light will shine.
3. P1 will blink in the TIME CAL window.
4. Press the UP and/or DOWN keys to select the HRC PROGRAM, then press the MODE
key to confirm.
5. Press the UP or DOWN keys to select HRC 70% (a maximum of 80 BPM can be entered)
or HRC to enter your own target heart rate value. Press the MODE key to confirm.
6. The LED light will shine next to the Time or Pulse value.
7. Press the UP and/or DOWN keys to adjust the Time or Pulse value.
8. Press the MODE key to confirm.
9. The LED light will move to the next value.
10. Repeat 6, 7 and 8 until all values are entered.
11. Press the START/STOP key to begin.
12. If the user’s heart rate/pulse value is higher than the set value, then a beep will sound a
warning.
13. Press TOTAL/RESET to end the Program early.
When the HRC PROGRAM is running, if the actual pulse value is less than the target value,
resistance will increase by degrees every 10 seconds. If the actual pulse value is greater than
the target value, resistance will decrease by degrees every 10 seconds, as shown below:
