Plastic headband
When selecting the correct size of plastic
headband, make sure that it fits comfortab-
ly on the patient. The conductor plate of the
plastic headband must be placed behind
the ear on the mastoid. If necessary, the po-
sition can be varied accordingly. The patient
must be instructed accordingly. Wearing
the plastic headband should be perceived
as comfortable as possible.
The plastic headband is available in
4 different sizes (small, medium, stan-
dard, large) from BHM. Only plastic head-
bands from BHM may be used.
Headbands and softbands
The adapters for wearing the hearing sys-
tem, which are included with the hearing
system, can be sewn into individual head-
bands and softbands. Appropriate instruc-
tions for this are available from BHM. Ensure
are used. The decision regarding which de-
vice should be worn on the left-hand or
right-hand side is made by the hearing care
professional during the fitting. In order to
identify each device clearly, a marking sti-
cker must be attached onto the hear ing
system, as depicted in symbolic image 1.
Mechanical fitting
The hearing system is used together
with the corresponding wearing op-
tion. Make sure that the wearing options
are the correct size and fit the patient cor-
rectly!
Improper use and incorrect selection
of the sizes of the wearing options
can lead to skin irritation, pressure points
and pain for the patient. If any of these sym-
ptoms occur during use, the application
must be stopped immediately and a new
fitting must be performed.
